'Sustainable Dreaming: The Way of the Pipe'
An introduction to Jim Tree and the Black Thunderbird Pipe Ceremonies

PART 1 'Sustainable Dreaming: The Water Dreamers' (in pre-production)

Feature Documentary or Two-Part Series

A journey across Australia that connects ancient Indigenous knowledge, and emerging sustainable practices, to help heal Australia’s current water crisis.

Cherokee Elder, James Medicine Tree is the caretaker of the United Nations Turtle Pipe and 200-year old Black Thunderbird Pipe. He travels the continent to bring balance to the drought-stricken land, and changing weather patterns, by connecting with the ‘Great Spirit’ through traditional Native American pipe ceremonies. He also connects with Australian Indigenous Elders, to learn from their knowledge of the land, and their ‘water dreamings’.

Each destination reveals it’s own water crises and possible solutions. A ‘sustainable dreaming’ is created through a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of land, people, and spirit.

PART 2 'Sustainable Dreaming: Australian Dreamers' (in development)

Documentary Series

A series of journeys that lead us across the continent and into the heart of Indigenous Australia. Connecting with local people who are leading the way towards a sustainable planet, using either new technologies and practices or Indigenous wisdoms and practices. This trip seeks out high profile Australian Environmentalists and environmental projects, as well as lesser known individuals and organisations– true ‘Sustainable Dreamers’, who are yet to recieve recognition in mainstream circles.

PART 3 'Sustainable Dreaming: Reconnecting the Spirit' (in development)

Documentary Series

A global journey to meet the 'Sustainable Dreamers' who are leading the way to a better future, whether they are in the forefront of the media, or behind the scenes. We meet individuals, visit communities and discover projects that are highlighting the interconnectedness of the land, people, and spirit.
