Alana Jessop
With 8 years experience in the Film and Television industry, Alana has worked on various productions, and has recently completed her Honours with First Class distinction in Film and Television Production at the Griffith Film School. Alana has worked on over 20 independent Film and Television productions to date, including First Assistant Director on the feature film All My Friends Are Leaving Brisbane (Bunker Productions International, 2006). Her other film credits include various music videos, corporate productions and short films. Alana is the current Festivals Liaison Officer for the Griffith Film School, assisting with providing support to students with their film festival entries. In addition she is a competent administrator with a current AQF level 4 certificate in Business Administration (2002). As the National Event Manager of the 48hr Film Project Australia, Alana has successfully coordinated the event in Brisbane since 2004 and is continuing to develop the internationally renowned competition in 2007. Alana joined Perception Pictures Pty Ltd upon foundation in 2004, and has recently been appointed Company Director. Alana assisted the Brisbane Climate Action Group with their 2006 Walk Against Warming campaign, promotion and merchandising. Alana believes strongly that positive action must now be taken to recognize the effects of global climate change and that reconnecting with indigenous ancient knowledge of the earth is an imperative factor in guaranteeing a sustainable future for all life on this planet.
